MS ORANGE ART Registration Instructions

I. Registration and Payment Methods:
  1. All students must complete a student registration form. Spot reservations are guaranteed only after confirming the class schedule with customer service and completing the payment;
  2. Term courses must be paid in full on a term basis;
  3. Accepted payment methods: Email transfer, check, and cash. If a check is returned by the bank, an additional processing fee of $40 will apply;
  4. Tuition amounts are subject to HST;
  5. E-transfer email: info@msorangeart.ca Please include the child's full name and the registered class in the transfer notes;
  6. Make checks payable to: Ms Orange Academy of Art Inc.
II. Refund Policy:
  1. If a student is unable to continue the course due to personal reasons more than one week prior to the start date, a refund can be arranged after deducting a $30 administrative fee. Refund requests submitted within one week prior to the start date will not be accepted;
  2. If a course is canceled by the school, tuition can be issued as credit or fully refunded;
  3. If a student cannot complete the term courses due to illness or other force majeure conditions, please contact the school to request a credit hold.
III. Class Changes, Absences, and Make-up Classes:
  1. Students are requested to attend classes on time unless under special circumstances, ensuring learning continuity, effectiveness, and interest. If a child cannot attend a class, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance;
  2. Report an absence must be submitted via email (Email: office@msorangeart.ca) with the subject line including the student's first and last name, class code, and absence date/time. The school only accepts absence notifications via email; requests made by phone or WeChat will not be recorded;
  3. Unreported absence will be marked as unexcused, and the session will be counted toward the student's attended class hours;
  4. Requests to change class due to personal reasons are free within the first two weeks of the term. A $30 administrative fee will apply to each subsequent request;
  5. Different class are taught by different instructors, and projects often span two classes. To maintain teaching quality, drop-in make-up sessions in other regular classes are not permitted;
  6. Students may request a maximum of 2 personal absences per term. Make-up class times will be scheduled centrally by the school and must be completed within the current term. Unused hours will not roll over to the next term;
  7. On-file credits remain valid for one year.
IV. Classroom Policy:
  1. Parents are requested to confirm class times and ensure students arrive on time. To avoid disrupting other students, entry to the classroom will be denied 10 minutes after class begins;
  2. Lessons involve various art mediums, and stains on clothing cannot be guaranteed against. Certain mediums (such as acrylics) are difficult to wash out; please have students wear clothes suitable for art-making;
  3. Students may bring a water bottle into class. Drinks, snacks, and electronic devices are strictly prohibited in the classroom (except for students in digital painting classes);
  4. Due to tight schedules and limited staffing, parents must arrive promptly at the door to pick up their children for safety reasons. Late pick-up fees will apply after a 10-minute grace period. For special circumstances, please contact customer service immediately.

CONSENTS AND WAIVERS

While my child attends Ms Orange Learning Centre/Ms Orange Academy of Art activities, I assume full responsibility for any injury, loss or damage which he/she might suffer in connection with their participation in various activities. In addition, I, for myself, my child, any of my personal representatives, heirs, or successors, release and connection with the above event, and waive all my rights thereto. I also grant the organizers the irrevocable right to use as they see fit for publicity, advertising or related purposes, my child's name, voice or physical appearance or any comments of my child's concerning the event. I acknowledge having read and understood the above and agree to each term. I hereby give Ms Orange Learning Centre/Ms Orange Academy of Art the right and permission to publish/broadcast, without charge, photographs/images/videos taken of the above listed participant during his or her participation in the program. These photographs/images/videos may be used in publication, including electronic publications during TV broadcast or in audio visual presentations, promotional literature, advertising or in other similar ways.
